Ask an adviser
What is a free zone company?

A company registered in one of the UAE’s free zones. It offers 100% foreign ownership, flexible office options and simple setup, and generally trades within its zone and internationally.

Which is the cheapest free zone in the UAE?

Zones in the Northern Emirates, such as UAQ FTZ, SHAMS, AMC Free Zone and RAKEZ, are often among the most affordable. The cheapest option for you depends on your activity and how many visas you need, so we compare real quotes side by side.

Can a free zone company work with mainland clients?

A free zone company can usually serve clients outside the UAE and inside its zone directly. Trading on the mainland may need a distributor, a branch or a separate mainland license, and we’ll explain the options for your activity.

Do free zone companies pay corporate tax?

Free zone companies must register for corporate tax. Qualifying income can be taxed at 0% if the company meets the conditions, and other income is taxed at the standard 9% above AED 375,000.
